*✈️ Journey to Chongqing: A Long-Awaited Adventure Begins*

After a long hiatus from traveling, I finally set off on a new adventure on *25 October 2025*. The excitement was real as I boarded the *12:15 PM YoYo bus* from *Johor Bahru* to *Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)*. We made a brief toilet stop at *Tangkak*, and by *6:30 PM*, I arrived at KLIA. It felt so good to be on the move again.

*🍽️ A Warm Welcome at Sama Sama Hotel*

Upon arrival, I was treated to a comforting meal at the *Sama Sama Hotel*, located right next to the airport. The hospitality and food were a pleasant surprise—just what I needed after the long bus ride. It was a perfect way to unwind before the next leg of my journey.

- “Dinner at Sama Sama Hotel—warm welcome and full belly.”

- “Elegant dining setup before the flight.”

- “A quiet moment to recharge at KLIA’s finest.”

*🛫 Flight Delays and Transit Challenges*

My flight to *Chongqing* was booked on *China Southern Airlines flight CZ8072*, with a transit stop in *Guangzhou* before connecting to *flight CZ3405*. Unfortunately, the initial flight was *delayed*, adding a layer of unpredictability to the trip.

The transit experience at *Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport* was memorable:

- *Security checks* were thorough and time-consuming.

- The airport was *enormous*, and navigating it without a *skytrain* made the transfer more challenging.

- A *shuttle bus* took about *10 minutes* to transport us from the gate to the aircraft parking area.

- “Waiting at KLIA—delays but still smiling.”

*🥟 In-Flight Experience*

On *CZ8072*, breakfast was served at *4:41 AM* —a rather odd hour for a meal. The tray included *bread and mee*, which felt more like a midnight snack than breakfast.

- “Early morning meal at 4:41 AM—bread and mee in the sky.”

Later, onboard *CZ3405*, I was served a simple meal: a *meat bun with peanuts*. It wasn’t fancy, but after hours of travel and waiting, it was comforting and satisfying.

- “China Southern Airlines snack—meat bun and peanuts.”

- “Simple comforts at 30,000 feet.”

*🧊 Arrival in Chongqing*

We finally *landed in Chongqing* at *11:44 AM*, greeted by a wave of *cold weather* —a stark contrast to Malaysia’s tropical warmth. The airport was adorned with *large welcome signboards*, creating a festive and inviting atmosphere.

For connectivity, I had pre-purchased an *eSIM from Touch 'n Go*, which offered *10GB of data valid for 30 days*. It was a seamless setup and proved essential for staying connected throughout the trip.

*🚌 Cruise Tour Begins*

At the airport, a *Century Cruise tour bus* was waiting to pick us up. Our group consisted of *28 travelers*, and we were joined by a *youthful and energetic lady tour guide* who brought a cheerful and helpful vibe to the team.

This journey marked the beginning of a long-awaited adventure. Despite the delays and logistical hurdles, the thrill of being back on the road—and in the skies—was undeniable. Stay tuned for more stories from Chongqing and beyond!
