First Day in Siem Reap

The flight to Siem Reap took off from LCCT ( Low Cost Carrier Terminal ) ,Kuala Lumpur.
As LCCT suggested, many amenities found in a normal airport such as aerobridge, air-conditioned building, etc are missing. You board the plane as though you are taking bus at Pudu Raya, Kuala Lumpur. In case of rain, they would provide umbrella.

The flying time to Seam Reap was two hours. The same contraption also flew back to Kuala Lumpur after resting for about 30-45 minutes ( just guessing ). So it did not leave any opportunity for the fly crews to break journey and enjoy this historic place.

Again, no aerobridge was provided, actually I preferred to walk. Honestly how often can you walk on the runway. At least you could tell your friend that you have physically landed on the soil of Siem Reap.

A stone with the inscription of Siem Reap International Airport - sorry the picture a bit too small.
Nice display of sculpture.

The World of Gods - The Center of the World
Very Interesting suggestion
The Airport was well maintained.

OK, they do have conveyor system.

Menu for our lunch . Prices were quoted in US $.

Quite similar to a coffee shop in Malaysia except you hear a different spoken languages.

In order to tap the maximum wind power from the fan, the owner decided that it should operate without a shield. Try it at home, you may cut down electricity usage.

I must said, we all were very hungry, who cared what kind of foods was on the table. Aferall ,we were omnivorous.

Not happy what had been ordered, we overloaded our gastric storage with more foods.

This is the hotel room. Very spacious.

Tooth brush, combs, shampoo were provided.

View outside the hotel. I must go back this time to make landscape comparison.
Localised car ?
Do they have worries ?

Taking the boat to Tonle Sap Lake

This is the way to bring up chicken. Born Free

As long as there is a shelter above your head, why bother the look.

Stepping into the boat.

On the way to Tonle Sap Lake.

I have a feeling that this pig might not live long.

School ?

Children using a simple basin as boat.

Not sure whether this boat was grounded or otherwise.

Tourist Attractions.
Points of interest along the water journey - see some crocodiles or cat fish

School ?
OK, this one says so.

The boy is up and coming Gondolier whose prospect may be bright if he is in Venice.

The boatman had to realign the boat.
Time to part the moola.

On the way to see Angkor Wat.

Entrance Fee : One Day - US $20
Three Days - US$40
Seven Days - US$60
The climb was very steep.

If you have US$20 in your petty cash box, I would suggest that you took this elephant ride,
saving your energy walking up the hill.

I

View from the top of .........
Broken stones - just like what you would see in Rome.

Did you realise that I did not mention the name of this temple. Why bother, is there an exam to take after this tour on Siem Reap.
