Norwegian Pearl - Alaska Cruise - Cocktail Party with Captain

Contrary to what you have perceived in the TV series " Love Boat", you generally do not have a chance to dine with the Captain of the ship unless you stay in Deck 14. Deck 14 houses rooms which are of "suite" standard. So it follows suit that you will pay heavily for this kind of room. As you can see in the following table, depending on the date, you can pay as much as 4 times the price for a normal stateroom.

However, luck was on our side, we were invited by the Concierge on behalf of the Captain to attend the Cocktail function in the Courtyard. We did not know the reason why we were selected. As I said, LUCK. In fact, I later learned that only a handful, may be less 10, out of 2300 paid passengers, were invited for this occasion.

As we did not stay in Deck 14, so we had to be ushered in by the Concierge.
This is the entrance to the Courtyard.

Clear roofing.

Captain is busy posing himself with the passengers for photography session.

This is my copy. Don't ask me why it is not so clear.

Captain Sverre Sovdsnes - How to remember this kind of spelling

The Trio - they perform all over the ship.

No chance to moonlight here - they already have resident ship photographers.

Foods and Drinks are free flow. ( gratis )
(Soft drinks and Liquors are not free items on board)

Despite the negligible size, the warning sign is prominently displayed about the do's and don'ts of using the swimming "pool".

Trio without obstruction from people.

This part of the ship is only accessible from Deck 14.

Room 14010 - wonder how much is this Suite?

They even have your names displayed on the door. Quite similar to the system found in Hospital.
Restricted area - Entrance to Deck 14.

Care to look at the Signboard.

Which suite is yours?

Living like a VIP but not paying VIP price. Life is too good for me.
